Obedience is the lowest form of participation.

It’s worse than doing nothing, not participating at all.

A still from John Carpenter’s They Live (1988)

Hell, willful disobedience would be better than unthinkingly following our orders.

Better than all those options, however, is active, thinking participation.

In our way of leadership in the workplace, we want the people in our care thinking and choosing. We want to earn their actions, rather than coercing them to do what we say.

“That would never work.”

Seeing is believing, and we see it working, with astounding results, every day!

The question is, is what you’re doing today working for you?

The results of seeking obedience have to be bad enough that you desperately want to try something new.

So, how’s it working for you? Is it bad enough, yet?
